Paul Mainieri's LSU Baseball Camps

Paul Mainieri's LSU Baseball Camps will offer daily instruction on position specific fundamentals- hitting, pitching, fielding, & base running. The camps will provide the best possible instruction for players of all ages and abilities in a structured, enthusiastic, and fun environment. The camp staff features some of the best collegiate coaches and players, along with top high school coaches in the area. Campers will be given quality instruction on how to play the game and how to improve themselves on and off the field! Paul Mainieri's LSU Baseball Camps also offer specialty camps throughout the fall and winter. Specialty camps provide an excellent opportunity for high school players to be instructed and evaluated by the LSU Coaching Staff. These camps are designed for the serious baseball player- one who has the interest and desire to play baseball at the next level. Specialty camps have an allotted capacity and are restricted to those individuals who are currently in high school.

October 30th High School Showcase
The LSU Baseball October 30th High School Showcase provides an excellent opportunity for high school players grades 10-12 to showcase their skills to the LSU baseball staff. This camp is designed for the serious baseball player - one who has the interest and desire to play collegiate and/or professional baseball. Session 1 will be limited to 60 players that will make up 4 teams of 15. We will only accept the first 16 pitchers, 8 catchers, 4 First basemen, 16 Infielders (2B, SS, 3B), and 16 Outfielders. Session 2 will be limited to 30 players that will make up 2teams of 15. We will only accept the first 8 pitchers, 4 catchers, 2 First basemen, 8 Infielders (2B, SS, 3B), and 8 Outfielders. Check-in is from 8:30am-9am for Session 1 and 2:00pm-2:30pm for Session 2, and all players will play two games and go through a pro-style workout (batting practice, 60-yard dash, etc.) and receive a hitting or pitching lecture. All pitchers will throw three innings but will not bat or play the field. Campers must provide their own food and lodging. In the event of rain, Sunday October 31st will be used as a make-up day.

LSU Baseball November 22nd Hitting Clinic (9:00am - 2:00pm)
The LSU Hitting Clinic is for hitters who will be in the 5th grade and up in the fall of 2010 and are interested in honing their hitting skills before the spring season. All major aspects of hitting will be covered including mechanics and the mental aspects of hitting. Campers will leave with a new sense of what it takes to be a hitter for the LSU Tigers, an abundance of drills that campers can do on their own to improve their hitting skills, and will get a lot of repetitions to get them ready for their upcoming season.

LSU Baseball November 23rd Catching Clinic (9:00am - 2:00pm)
The LSU Catching Clinic is for catchers who will be in the 5th grade and up in the fall of 2010 and are interested in taking their catching skills to the next level. All major aspects of catching will be covered including receiving, blocking, throwing, and the mental aspect of catching. Campers will leave with a new sense of what it takes to play the catcher position for the LSU Tigers as well as an abundance of drills that campers can do on their own to improve their catching skills.

LSU Baseball Fantasy Camp (January 15-16, 2011)
The LSU Baseball Fantasy Camp will provide a once in a lifetime opportunity for adults ages 21 and up to experience what it is like to be an LSU Baseball player for one weekend. At the LSU Baseball Fantasy Camp, players will move into the locker room, go through team meetings headed by Coach Mainieri, go through the same practices and game routines that the current LSU players go through as well as get to play two games in Alex Box Stadium complete with a fully operational scoreboard, PA announcing, and LSU issued equipment with personalized uniforms. Campers will be instructed by the LSU coaching staff the entire weekend and will learn firsthand what it is like to be an LSU baseball player. In addition, players will have access to the player's lounge, training room, will have laundry done for them, and will be fed pre and post game meals just like the current Tiger players. All campers will receive an authentic personalized game jersey with last name and preferred number, camp t-shirt, batting gloves, wristbands, and socks. Camp will be limited to the 1st 45 participants so please sign up as soon as possible! The cost for the LSU Baseball Fantasy Camp is $1600.
